The purpose of this study was to accurately translate the Korean version of the American Physical Therapy Association¡¯s Professionalism in Physical Therapy: Core Values (PPTCV) self-assessment to assess the levels of professionalism among Korean registered physical therapists in an industrial accident hospital. The 68-item PPTCV self-assessment was translated, and the content review was performed by a translation panel. After content review, a bilingual physical therapy professor translated the document back into English. A semantic equivalence test was conducted with 5 American physical therapist professors. A survey study was conducted with a sample of 96 registered physical therapists in Korea to test the reliability of the translated PPTCV. The Cronbach¡¯s alpha test for the Korean version of the PPTCV was .882. The translated version could be used to assess levels of professionalism for other health professionals as well as physical therapists in an industrial accident hospital.
